Just bought my first car White 1986 Chevy Corvette, 350 crate motor, 4 speed. Needs a little bit of work. Steering Column is loose (large guy owned before and used steering wheel as a handle to get out of it). Also need to install master and slave cylinder for the clutch. First problem master cylinder mount has broken bolt in firewall, so I cant install the new one with out removing the bolt. Any ideas on how to get it out?
I know I am new to the forum and to corvettes but, I believe my corvette is a c4.
Congrats on your '86 and yes it is a C4.
You can pick up a bolt remover tap set at most auto stores. It taps the broken bolt with threads that are in the reverse direction of the bolt so that you can back it out.
Also welcome to the forum and the members in the C4 section are the best to answer your questions.
