Hi all my name is Paul Pollok and I reside in Valrico, Florida. Right east of Tampa, Florida. I am 29 years old and fell in love with corvettes when the c5 was introduced. I finally got me a base model 2002 a few months back.
This is the first non import sports car I have owned. Through the years I have had few turbo Hondas, a Nissan 240 with a rb26 inside

I love my car and of course I get one that has ALL of the common c5 problems. My biggest one as of now is the darn targa top leaking pretyy good in rain.
I have already taken it to the quarter mile track and my fastest run of the night was a 13.8...... it is an auto (bought the auto because of the aggressive driver I am, I figured it would help me stay off the gas so much.... So far it has worked more than I thought it would) Anyways the old timers at the track said it was a slow night and almost everyone was about a half a second off their mark. My 0-60 ft times were right at 2 seconds flat.
The car is strong, minor interior flaws, and bone stock. I plan on doing a full exhaust with no cats or mufflers, k&n intake, larger throttle body and intake manifold. I would also prefer after those are done to do a real tune vs a generic hypertech tune.
Also I have friends that work on auto transmissions and own a few shops in the area, I plan on beefing up the transmission because after reading I have found that the stock auto is only rated for 385 torque...? So its rated for 35 or so more torque than stock? That seems odd , especially when a full exhaust will put down more power than that.
Anyways that's a little about me and my car. I have used this forum for some time and only recently decided to join the forum.

Welcome to the Forum Paul and congratulations on your 02 
Paul many vette owners have a easy fix for those leaks, they don't drive in the rain. That doesn't work for everyone so post over in C5 for help with that.
