My name is Chris, I am a new member to the corvette forum and a first time Corvette owner. Since I was a young boy the Corvette has always caught my eye and made its way into my day dreams. My grandfather has always had one he was wrenching on, and I used to call his black Stingray the "bat-mobile."
I recently got a job that allowed me to save up enough to buy my first Corvette, a 1986 coupe with the L98. It has been sitting for around 8 years in the desert so it needs a good bit of work. While I never dreamed of buying a perfect car, this one is proving to be the learning experience of a lifetime. I am the third owner of the car and it has 104K miles. I have found an ample amount of useful information on the corvette forum, and recently decided to become a member. I hope to learn a lot thought the experience, and appreciate the community's insight and willingness to assist one another in the pursuit of bettering both our vehicles and ourselves.
Good to be here, I recently posted a thread dealing with a newly developed engine knock, if anyone has any insight or advice I would be glad to hear it. You can find the thread here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-new-post.html Thanks again!
