Just about to buy an 06 C6 from a friend. I've owned 3 Corvettes in the past: 2 ground up '63 coupes (done by me) and a '74 Vert. Been away from Corvettes too long tho. Went the Porsche route for awhile with an '84 Carrera but got tired of the maintenance bills......I also missed the raw horsepower of a good old American V8! So-Glad to be here-looks like lots of good advice can be found in these pages.......

frenchy51,
Good luck and welcome to the forum! Let us know how the first drive goes.
OK-Just took a first test ride in it and it's REALLY a nice C6. Plus a friend owns it AND it was picked up right at Bowling Green. Plus it has all the options including F55. It drove great and has been pampered with less than 50K miles. I was kind of thinking Z06 before I drove this one, but at the end of the test drive my friend and I shook hands. I'll give him the $ on Monday. A Corvette owner again-YEA! The only slight hitch was that when I took my wife for a leisurely paced ride in it she didn't like it...."not an automatic, can't see out the back, too low to the ground, claustrophobic, Uncomfortable..blah blah blah"....We've been married 36 years----She'll get over it. I love it. Is this a common problem? She didn't like my other 3 Corvettes either.
