Hello everyone, I just bought my first corvette, Red C6 (06), three weeks ago and I love it. I have added a Borla exhaust (Cat back system, S-Type II), which really improved the sound and I am looking to add an air intake and a 160 degree thermostat. Looking forward to chatting with you all and learning more about these great cars.

mayg40,
Welcome to the forum! It's great to add you to this awesome community and congrats on your new 'Vette! How was the first drive?
Yes I have already found that out. I think I am hooked for life
I grew up in a 1960 corvette. It was the first car I ever drove, and I have fallen for them. My first car was my dad's 72 he gave me in 07 when I was 15, I am now about be 22 next week. I have owned several Vettes, and I can never not have at least one.
You will fall in love with yours, and you will never be disappointed that you bought it instead of a Prius.
I often find myself spending more time and money driving my 72 than any other car of mine. 1. the gas is expensive plus octane booster, and 2. I find the longest routes possible just to keep the experience going longer. It is something that never gets old.

Fell in love with the corvette when I was 11, but didn't get my first one until I was 27...........now 67 yrs old I'm on my 10th corvette!!!
After my last 2 being brand new and the last one I ordered to get just as I wanted and having had it for 2 yrs, I decided I wanted a new experience.
So I sold my 2012 Torch Red Grand Sport Roadster and bought a first year Shark......."1968 Rally Red Roadster". I can't take it anywhere without getting a wave, thumbs up or smiles and pointing from admirers.
People yelling a guess year number at me, isn't uncommon and I always reply "'68, first year of the C3 Shark"
I can now tinker and experience the fun and self satisfaction of turning a wrench. And if my '68 is ever grounded for maintenance, I stilll have my reliable backup '98 Torch Red Roadster to cruise if I have a desire to.
My wife has me on a 2 corvette diet, so one 45 yr old and one 15 yr old seems to be the right mix for me. Don't be surprised how it becomes part of your life, whether just driving around, showing at local car shows or getting involved your local Corvette Car Club. It can evolve to local charity events; parades and the list goes on.
