Default First Corvette, longtime Vette lover - Oregon

Hi,

I'd just like to introduce myself. I'm a longtime Vette lover but just recently purchased my first Corvette last month, although I drove a '75 back in the early '90's while in the Navy.

She's an all original '87 Roadster White\White with gray interior, 132,000 miles. She runs good and I drive her 3-4 days a week. There's an idle problem I need to address and the brakes are a little hard, but other than that she's solid.

I'd like to get in touch with anyone in the Northwest (Salem\Portland area| and plan on joining the Willamette Corvette Club next month. I'd appreciate any recommendations on shops in the area that I can trust to work on her.

Thanks!

Pat

Congrats on the C4, they are very cool. I want a 91, but would never trade my 72. I am from Tx, so a little far from your area. But there are plenty of other guys in the area. Check out the different region sections. (Events and Regional)

Hi Brandon, thanks. My favorite vette's are the '69-'72 chrome bumper C3's. You're very lucky to own one. I miss driving the '75 I had back in the day, but the C4 is a completely different animal. The steering, chassis rigidity, torque and interior are a real improvement. Still...if I find a C3 like yours that I could afford, I would buy it to add to the the collection...in a heartbeat

Watch 'Billy Jack';, from the early 70's..there's a scene where an '72 gets destroyed..

Thanks everyone. Too bad it's winter time, there's not a whole lot of vettes around here to give the wave to. I suppose I should do the proper thing and store it, but every morning when I'm forced to choose between the vette and the bmw, I check the windshield and if it's not iced I take the vette. That will change soon though as we have ice and snow coming in.
