Howdy guys, new member here from the DFW area. Got a 72, original big block 4 speed car I've had for 35 years or so. Overhauling everything now. Everyday is another $100+ for little junk but the mail order places do a good job. I've got the front end all restored, motor amd trams back in ( Calvert Precision Engines in Denton did it for me and dyno'd it. Bumped compression up to 9.8 using 22cc hypereutectic pistons and a Lunati 268/276 flats tapper cam with roller rockers ( seemed pretty sensible- not too hot, not too cold). Overhauled 4 speed, everything new in front end, power steering etc. scraped frame with drill and wire brushes, reprinted. Now working on rear end overhaul and finishing repairing of some cracks. Basic paint is perfect so may just sand and shoot a coat of clear...plenty to do but it's too doggone cold to get highly motivated.
Next project is Air conditioning and heater box/ vacuum stuff. I hate fooling with stuff like that, may have some questions for you guys. Thanks, Chuck
