Hi everyone, been looking at owning a Corvette for over a year now. Still haven't pulled the trigger yet but I do have the itch. I currently drive a ST 3 Roush and looking for something with a bit more oomph. I have ridden in a few on the autobahns in Germany and down the drags a few times. One of those owners and a buddy of mine with a ZO6 are putting the screws on me to join so here I am.

After 40 yrs and 10 corvettes of the C3, C4, C5, C6 linage including a Grand Sport, I've experienced or withnessed that there is a corvette for everyone. Whether you're looking for a hot rod vette, a resto-rod vette, or a stock vette, one you can drag race, one you can autoX, one you can use as a daily driver, one you can clean and show or any combination of the above. Depending on your mechanical capability you can buy one to tinker and fix to your liking or you can find a nice one within your financial capability. Starter vettes can be purchased quite reasonably if you have patience. The CF and other Corvette C series forums are good sources; any number of Corvette "for sale" sites; Auto-Trader; ebay; Craig'slist even local Wheels freel papers. Argueably my best buy was a ebay '98 Torch Red Roadster, 6spd, Z51 with 65,335 miles on it. He was a first time vette owner and family man and wanted the money to put in a motorhome. He said he had his 1 yr experience and he wanted to sell. These type of folks are out there. It is as tight as new and runs great and my wife loves to take it on sunny topdown drives. Proving my point there is a vette for everyone. Previously she didn't get the attraction now she says that car isn't going anywhere when I mention buying another. The key is do your research then when you find what you want, PULL THAT TRIGGER!
