Default Long intro from Utah

This is my first post. I have been a member since July and have spent many hours lurking through the wealth of knowledge on this forum, and also enjoying the banter as well as the occasional bit of drama. But at the end of the day what brings me back here night after night is the passion that everyone here shares, the Corvette.

A good friend and co-worker fueled my fire to purchase my first Corvette (a lifetime dream) a few years ago by letting me take care of one of his Corvettes, a Pewter 2000 Coupe which ended up being about 6 months of heaven. It had a few things that needed to be fixed, flasher/blinker, window leaks, headlight gears, little things here and there. I was able to get a fair share of them taken care of before I reluctantly returned his car. This forum was where I found all of the answers I was seeking. Thanks!

So in trying to make this long story a little shorter, the forum helped me decide on the car I was on the hunt for, the last year of the C5, and after a couple of years looking, I found it. I'm now the very proud owner of a Black 2004 Coupe completely stock and ready for some mods. I have clay barred, waxed, and waxed it again. My sons thought I was crazy for polishing it daily. It's pretty damn shiny!

Corvette season is over here, but I can still get my fix by looking in the garage and then jumping on the forum. Thanks for being here, you all Rock!!!

Cheers

Thanks for asking William. The driving experience has been great! It is a better feel than the 2000 I drove for a while. I have put 8000 miles on it since I got it in mid July, a couple of trips to Las Vegas, and it is my fair weather DD. Thanksgiving day was the last time I was able to drive it due to the weather here. My first project is to do a complete brake job on the car. I'm just waiting for parts to become available. My wife wants me to do a stereo system after the brakes, and I would like to do intake and exhaust. I win either way!!!
