Hi Guys - first my heart felt thanks for all the information you provided this lurker for the six months it took to realize a dream. My goal was to loose 65 lbs., reduce medications, and find a Vette . The first piece of advice I took was to read everything I could get my hands on, then started looking for a car that was loved and properly maintained. I took my flashlight mirrors and a digi cameras and check list. I had a shop at home and restored old cars until the kids came 25 years ago so the looking was fun especially armed with the information from THE FORUM.
Long and short of it, after 50 years of "I WANNA" .... "I GOTTA" 1996 CE vert with an LT4 that 3 people and the General have loved for 18 years and 55k miles.
Now I wait for the snow to go.Thanks again for all your help.
