Hi. My name is Alain. I currently own a 2010 SS Camaro slightly moded and a 2012 F150 FX4. No vette for me yet but I am closely watching the development of the new Z06.
I'm planning on trading in my Camaro (if I haven't sold it by then) and my F150 when the lease is up on it in the summer of 2015 with hopes of picking up a new Z06. I figured the hype and craziness (over pricing by dealers) should be dying down by the summer of 2015.
I joined this forum so I can keep track of the progress on the Z06 and learn about the world of corvettes from people who actually own them.

Greetings Alain,
Welcome to the forum! How's your Camaro been treating you?
Welcome to the forum from So Cal !!! I traded in my 2010 2SS/RS for my 2010 GS... Never regretted the purchase or the trade. What made the deal more sweet was that it took the dealer almost 3 months to sell the Camaro and for less than my trade in price they gave me. I'm sure that the dealer made a lot more money on my GS than what they lost on the 2SS/RS... but I'm happy with the results of my transaction.

Howdy!! My Camaro has been a ton of fun to drive and to mod. Other than a problem with the fifth gear on my manual transmission and a problem with the oil pump (both of which were covered under warranty) I've loved my Camaro.

I had been toying with the idea of selling or trading my camaro for something with a bit more power and something that I am going to want to keep for a long long time and pass it down to my kids. My brother in law purchased a Shelby GT 500 this past summer and after witnessing the power that thing has I started to look at one for myself.
But then I saw the new C7 and Camaro Z28 at the NY auto show and my wife and I fell in love with them! Much like everyone else I'm eagerly awaiting more details on the Z06 so I can decide which direction to go.
I know a Z06 is in a different realm then the Z28. I really hope they offer a package with the Z06 that is both affordable and attractive enough for me to bite the bullet and make the move.

Sorry to hear about the warranty concerns, but we do hope you continue to enjoy your Camaro .
