Hey all.

It's my first time here on this or any Corvette forum. I go by alphasurf and it's nice to be on here and become part of this community.

I used to have a 99 C5 torch red Vette but in 01 I wrecked it..

Over the past few years all I have been doing is working and taking care of my two sons. Recently I have thought more and more about buying another nice sports car. I have looked at some 3rd gen rx7's and a handful of vettes.

I have owned 4 turbo Rx7 cars in the past and they are very fast and can easily compete with the c5 and c6 vettes with right mods but the engines only last about 80k miles. Also if the car is not tuned perfectly well... Lets just say Detonation is a rotaries worst enemy!

I decided against the Rx7.

I then figured I loved my old vette so I started my search for my next vette. It was a fun search and it has lead me here because I just bought a beautiful 1 owner 30k mile 2000 C5 Magnetic Red Coupe with almost every factory option including both targa roof panels and the glass one has never even been used yet. Dual power seats, HUD and the list goes on. 0 accidents and zero paint work, totally mint condition car as in showroom condition. I even have the original window sticker! $46,664.00 the guy paid for it back in 2000.

Only bad things... The guy had a rear spoiler put on it which I already removed and now there are 5 holes from it. He also had those chrome things on the rear lights and 3rd brake light which I already removed. I figure I can sell the rear spoiler and chrome light things to get back some money I paid for my new vette.

Here is a picture of her after she was just washed and detailed.

Nice looking ride. Bought an RX7 in its first year, '79. Loved it, but no comparison to the C7.
