I am a new member but have been lurking and reading the forum posts for some time. I own a 66 Corvette Coupe in Laguna Blue with 327/350 engine, 4-speed and the only power option being power steering (which is nice, I used to own a 67 without PS and it was a bear to steer even though I was much younger). The car is probably 95% stock (numbers matching) as the previous 2 owners tried very hard to keep everything stock on the car. It was frame off restored in 1986 and the previous owner supplied a nice VCR video of the restoration and about 1 inch thick of paperwork/receipts from just about every part or service that was ever done to the car. I will be doing a few things to the car that need doing but nothing too major, the parking brake cables/handle need to be rerouted, I will be putting rebuilt trailing arms in, etc. but I mostly joined the forum because I have some concerns regarding the weatherstripping on the door frames. I will be taking some pictures of the area of concern soon and posting them with some questions after I get the lingo correct to explain the strips involved. I want to make sure that the car is correct and that might mean taking off what is currently mounted or it might mean trying to replace them, more to come later when I can explain it with pictures. I hope there are some members that can help me with the issue. In the meantime, thank you for the forum, I look forward to being a member. Bob Nancarrow, Michigan.
I have a '66 L79 4sp # matching coupe too, but in silver. Ask your questions in the C1 & C2 section and post some pics as well. Welcome aboard and Go Bucks:
