Paul Lukas here. I have a 1979 Corvette that I basically restored and modified from the ground up myself and with some assistance from family and friends. Been bouncing around C3 forums and Facebook groups for years now and a friend pushed me hard to join the forum recently, and so here I am.
Married 26 years, 4 beautiful daughters (one just graduated from college), served in the Army for 23 years and did a tour in Iraq 2003-2004. Came home and needed an outlet from thinking about the war so I bought a 1979 C3.
In about 5 years time we went through 2 engine changes and now has a 406 SBC pushing well over 500 ponies, 700R4 OD Trans, Steeroids R&P, QA1 Coil Over Front suspension, TRW Composite Spring and Bilstiens out back. Entirely new brake system including lines, booster and master Cylinder. Way too much more mechanical updates to mention. Targa Blue paint (1972 Factory Color), L88 Hood, Pace Car Rear Spoiler and Cragar 5 Spoke Billet Wheels with knock offs to round out the exterior.
This car kind of saved me as I saved it. I treasure it every day in addition to my family and friends. This car is awesome and I love the Corvette Hobby. Grew up in a family full or wrench spinners and hot rodders, so this was a no brainer. Had other muscle cars in the past, but I love my C3.

Very cool C3! The wheels and the hood look cool as well as the blue color. Thanks for helping us continue to have our freedom. C3s are awesome, I love my 1972.
