Hey all .. traded in a 2013 Avalon and picked up a 2011 Corvette 3LT with 12k miles today. While the avalon was a nice big car with a sporty ride. I just needed something to put a smile on my face. I've gone through 4 cars in the last two years trying to find the right fit.
Was initially planning on picking up a brand new camaro 2SS/RS convertible. Beautiful car and I was ready to pull the trigger. But after talking with my sales guy, he said based on what I was telling him I wanted, I should really be looking at the vette. It was an instant hit! However I was not willing to drop the coin on a new one and so settled for this for now.
Welcome and Corvettes are always a car that will put smiles on not just strangers faces, but yours too. I am glad that you got the C6. I just sold my 2012 Camaro. It was a lot of fun. In just 2 years I smoked the tires so much that I had to put 3 sets on it. It had 30K miles, and I upgraded the clutch and pressure plate, shifter, etc. It gained most of those 30K miles 1/4 mile at a time. IT was sweet yellow Camaro, but the entire time I had it I sadly couldn't help but thinking that it just wasn't as good as a Vette. I am still looking for a fun car, of course, the Vette (any year) always calls my name. I have Vettes, and I am madly in love with C1s, but the new C class Mercedes is also calling my name. I just returned from Europe where I picked up 3 new Mercedes Benz. Man! That was awesome. The trip is what I think is really calling my name (although the MB is nice) and is making me want to go again. I am just having a lot trouble locking on to which car I should get. So I know how you felt while looking for a fun car. Best of luck to you!
