Default Newbie Buying C2 Barn Find

Hi everyone! Been lurking on your forum for a few weeks, looks like the best Vette forum around!
Put down a deposit for a small block 66 C2 black coupe over the weekend. I'm in NC, car's in St Louis. Pics look great (don't they always), matching #, spent the last 15 years or so in a barn. Dealer bought it, went thru it pretty good, flushed all the systems, changed all the oils/fluids, put on new calipers/brakes, overhauled the carb, did some other stuff, says it runs and drives great (inspection's this week anyway). Very little if any UV damage, says it does smell a bit musty inside. No critters found, I hope. Has had a stinger hood since 1967 (anyone want to swap?).
How do these barn finds generally work out? Am I walking into a minefield?
Thanks!

Not if you hired an expert to do your inspection and if it has issues you can get your money back. Good luck

Original & same condition, a 67 stinger hood is worth much more than a sb 66 hood. IMHO

Thanks everyone! I'll post some pics when the car gets here. The inspector I'm planning to hire is very knowledgeable of Vettes, and I'll give myself some time to get used to the stinger hood before I consider swapping.
