Hi all! Im new to the corvette world so just wanted to introduce myself. I've had many cars over the years, but as far as sports cars go I've always been a miata guy. My last one had a full turbo setup with over 250whp and full race suspension. It was allot of fun but at those levels they can get pretty hard to drive and uncomfortable. I wanted to try something totally different so sold the miata and my bmw and bought this, a 2002 Millennium Yellow 6sp coupe w/ 51k miles. It's in really clean condition and I'm loving it so far, just as fast as the miata but a million times more livable. Never owned a v8 before and I'm loving the sound and torque! It's my only car right now but I'm shopping for a good dd to help keep the miles off her.
Looking forward to hanging out here and making the car my own! Only mod I've done so far is the compliance parts LMC5, the column lock was working fine but after reading all the horror stories I thought id better play it safe
Nice car, it looks like my old 2001 except it had tan interior. Anyways, this car looks like a local car that has been for sale for a year or so in Lindale, Texas. (Where the country singer Miranda Lambert is from)…So my question is, is that car? It was a 2002, and same specs and the mileage was right around there.

Thanks guys! Nope I don't think its that car, according to car fax its been a Florida car it whole life and I bought it in Tampa.
OPTIMA Presents Corvette of the Week: From a Miata to a 'Vette
This week's Corvette of the Week comes from "FinalJenemba" whose story has made me appreciate the Corvette even more, which is huge for me because I thought I already had my foot planted pretty firmly on the Corvette appreciation throttle.
FinalJenemba says he's "always been a Miata guy". The Miata he recently sold was pushing 250 horsepower at the wheels, and it had racing suspension. With that much juice being pumped through the little Mazda, FinalJenemba says, "It was a lot of fun, but at those levels, Miatas can get pretty hard to drive and uncomfortable."
Enter his new acquisition: a 2002 Millennium Yellow Corvette Coupe rocking a six-speed manual. If this C5 looks younger than its 12 years of age would suggest, it should -- it only has 51,000 miles.
"It's in really clean condition and I'm loving it so far," says FinalJenemba. "It's just as fast as the Miata, but a million times more livable. I've never owned a V8 before, and I'm loving the sound and torque."
Oh wow, that's so cool! Thank you so much for the Corvette of the Month. Im new here obviously and wasn't even aware of the COTM articles. But now I'm going through all the recent winners and it's an honor to be included in a group of such cool cars and people. A C5 was always a dream car for me and now it's even more special, thanks again!!!
