Hello All
Name is Freddy Rantz, but "36 Volt" works for me as I am aging and since I do NOT have any sensitive electronics onboard, I can usually use more than 12 Volts to get up in the morning anymore.
I joined this site because we all have a love for the Corvette, and I have found advise and comradery here to be of great presence.
I currently have a 77 Vette 350 auto (for 16 years) and a 92 Vette LT1 auto (for 4 months)
I have restored both to scale of 9 or better, but recently the 92 started the service ASR no start. Have a thread I'll update some today (another 92 no start)
Been a mechanic 40+ years now. Auto, heavy trucks, Aircraft, and marine. Always loved and had too many cars according to some.
18 ASE certs with 2 master ASE + L1. Associates Degree in applied sciences advanced auto, over 100 certs from cranes, aerials, hybrids, aircraft, GM dealership certs, emissions, refrigerant handling, and a ton more. Like I said I'm old.
None of that really matters, turns out the stuff that I know the best, is usually due to my having messed it up, broke it, fried it, granaded it, or all the the above. Yes hard knocks is a good class.
I also have:
67 Mustang put a 88 5.0 multiport FI in 1997 (had for 29 years)
68 Firebird (originally 6 cyl 3 speed) now has a 400 (18 years)
69 Barracuda fastback formula S 340 4 speed (35 years)
77 Vette above (16 years)
79 base firebird (after 3 301 broken crankshafts) now 455 Auto (24 years)
80 bronco 4WD has 460 in it (11 years)
85 fiero GT (14 years)
86 fiero SE (10 years)
87 Fiero base 4 cyl auto (11 years)
91 GMC sierra K3500 4X4 extended cab (9 years)
92 Vette above (4 months)
95 Firebird TA LT1 6 speed
96 Cadillac Seville (9 code) (10 years)
