Just purchased my first Vette! Got a 2014 C7 Z51 Black on Black. This car is absolutely awesome.
Been checking out a bunch of other Vette forums and this one seems to be the one and only for me. Looking forward to learning more about my new wheels on this forum.

Performance rear axle
Hello everybody!
I have a 2002 C-5 convertible and in reading a specs article the other day it mentioned that some were equipped with "performance axle" between years 2000 to 2004.
Does anyone knows about this and what it means?

There are various sections on the forum for each generation of Corvette that are better designed for more info on the car. In this case, the C5 General or even the C5 Tech sections would be appropriate for your question.

Henry - it means that if you have an automatic transmission equipped car, it has a 3.15 rear gearing rather than a base 2.73.
