I have a 1987 Corvette with 84k original miles. Recently I started it up cold, started fine, I drove it about 2 miles to the local store, when I came out it cranked but didn't start up right away? Any suggestions?
New air filter, cleaned mas air flow, cleaned throttle body.
Thanks, I have a 1987 Corvette, I bought it a year ago and everything worked fine, until about a week ago, It's starts right up when it has sat a day or two, then I drive it two miles to the local store and when I come out it seems to want to crank a long time before it starts? I've changed the air cleaner, cleaned the mas air flow, cleaned the throttle body. Starters good, battery is good. If it was the fuel pump I don't think it would start at all. I haven't checked or changed the plugs yet nor checked the ignition yet, just trying to get some ideas of what it could be. I try to do all my own work due to the fact I'm retired and don't really like paying shop rates.
