Default Hi

Hey all, new here. I'm thinking about buying a c3 in the near future. I want to get off the Harley and into something with four wheels I actually want to drive, plus I've always dreamed of owning a vette. It's not too early for a midlife crisis is it?

Welcome, and you've made a wise decision to come to the CF first.

In the C3 section, there are many things you should you look at. I have owned a few C3s are they are a blast. Best of luck with the search.

First ask yourself some questions. Be honest with yourself.

What is my budget for the car, any repairs or mods that need or desired?

What color body? what color interior?

4 speed manual, or automatic? Small block or big block?

Air conditioning or no AC? Power steering or no PS?

Power windows or no PWs? Power brakes or no PBs?

Stock or modified?

Leather interior or vinyl? Tilt/telescopic wheel or standard steering column?

What are your plans for this C3? Every day driver? Show car? Project? etc.

Coupe or convertible? Early C3 with chrome bumpers ('68-73), mid C3 ('74-77), or late C3 ('78-82)?

There are a lot of details to obviously work out, but in case you had not given it any thought, hopefully that helps.

I would suggest reading this:https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-corvette.html

Best of luck,

This is what I am currently eyeballing. What color to paint? Could I get a decent paint job for $3,000 or am I being too optimistic?
