Anyway, this is what I bought: A '65 roadster with both tops (he had the hardtop shipped from California) By the way he said "I spent STUPID money on that thing". He had it painted the '66 color Mosport Green (That's a whole other story), New leather interior, new carpet, bumpers and trim re-chromed locally, Re-pop knock offs, new nylon Firestone tires and other stuff I've already forgot. The motor is a 327/300 HP that has been rebuilt by his brother (My friend who has been building race motors for thirty years), Muncie 4speed and who knows what rear gear. So far it's numbers matching (I haven't found the numbers on the rear end yet). I finally got the hardtop off and pulled the soft top out of that hole where it has rested for sixteen years. OH MY....IT SHRUNK! I had a devil of a time getting that baby latched. It's still in pretty nice shape except for the back window and part of the weather-stripping. It needs a lot of winter project TLC.
MY LIST; seat belts, tach, emergency brake, odometer, radio has static but not plugged in to the power antenna. The frame looks to be in pretty good shape as somebody has slapped black paint all over everything. It runs and drives okay but I could probably replace every piece of rubber in the chassis if I get ambitious. For me, this will be only a driver as I do not have the space or the desire to do a frame off. Maybe the next guy! Well, what do you think? Did I get hurt too bad?

The picture was just a small B&W and the caption said Montana Mover. If someone could find this it would be pretty neat to see again. That Car was very Nasty. I put Chromed Hooker header and sidepipes with the glass pack inserts so it would make some real HP over the OEM Exhaust System. Not really a Streetable Car and with 4.11 gearing I wouldn't want to have to pay what we do today for Fuel as the Gauge moved toward the E rather quickly when you did full throttle runs. I wish I would have kept the Car when I see what their fetching now days but that's Life...
This was the last St.Louis Vette I bought. Had one of the most terrible paint jobs of any Car I owned. Even complained to the Regional Rep. I carefully massaged the orange peel out and it ended up not too bad. Bowling Green Paint facility is state of the Art. Wished all pre 80 vettes could have been painted in that facility...S.M.
