left headlight
Starting to think my 2000 Corvette Thinks it a Harley Davidson, as I own one of those also , Fix one thing and next week its something else!!! My Left headlight closes then I hear this grinding sound for about ten more seconds , sounds like the motor is still trying to close it after its shut ! Its going in on Saturday morning to get a new air injection pump installed so I'll have to get that headlight looked at also. Anybody else come across this headlight problem ?

You can do a search and find a lot of info about headlights. To many people will tell you to buy brass gears.
It sound to me like the little white neoprene stops are worn flat on one side. You can take them off and turn them around, or you can buy them new through corvette central I think. Good luck
