I come from the 4 banger Sports Car world, MGs for 25 years, I have had a couple of Fiat 850 Spyders (that's 850 cc displacement, smaller than most modern motorcycles).
But, turning 70 this year, I decided wrenching, crawling under cars, and fighting tops (or hoods, as the Brits call them) was getting too hard. A Corvette owner friend had me take a C5 Coupe for a test drive, and I was hooked! An automatic transmission, an easy to remove/install Targa top, power everything and, yes, performance unimaginable in my previous cars to enjoy on Interstate trips (or anytime I wanted) , couldn't be ignored. And the comfort! I bought a 2000 C5 and sold the Fiat and MGB (for about what I paid to own the Corvette).
My wife and I have some great memories touring in our MG, and I know we will make more in the C5.
