Default New C3 Owner

Hello guys,

I am from southern Germany and an owner of a ´74 C3 Corvette T-Top Coupe (engine: 454 cui, transmission: manual, rear axle ratio 3.36, color: Corvette grey metallic / black leather interior). The car had been initially sold by a dealer in Wisconsin and had been exported from California to the Netherlands in 1990. In Europe the car had only been shown on Corvette meetings from time to time and according to the previous owner the 7.700 miles on the clock are correct. Well - there is no other proof, the title had been lost, but the car is definitely free of accidents, has got first paint, first exhaust and spare wheel untouched. I have managed to get it on the road in Germany this autumn with new tires, fluids, etc. When servicing it I found the clamp bolt of the distributor had never been loosened before and some other hints of low mileage - be it 7.700 or not. I also removed the speedo and put a kph scale in original design on the mph scale. Well, removing the speedo is not just a one hours job, but I succeeded to do everything properly and getting everything back in place again. While doing that, I found a sheet with the original production records between speedometer and tachometer. All in all I have fun with exploring and driving this car and I am looking forward to some fruitful communication in this forum.

kind regards

Fritz
