Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun
Hi All. Q:What's better than one Convertible. A: Why two of them of course.
About a month ago I started searching for a Convertible and found a decent one nearby. Then a few weeks later I am surfing for parts and find another car exactly like the first. I felt it was fate, went to look at it and made a deal on it too. Now I own 2 C4 convertibles, both white with white tops and red interiors. The only difference in them is the second car is a six speed and has dual power seats.
So now while I go through them to correct any issues, if I need to wait for parts, shop time, or any other matters I can switch to the other car and work on it. Plus I always have one to drive when one is being worked on.
Here are a few quick shots of them side by side. I have a few months to get them perfect before I bring them home for the summer.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes. I'm having a hard time finding a decent set of rims for the second car. The PO put a set of 92+ rims on the car. He did give me the original set but they neeed refinishing. I'm shocked to see what they are charging for the center caps, $200 each plus $25 for the emblems. I can find reconditioned rims online but only 1 of the right side rims. 3 out of 4 just won't do.

Tomorrow Vette 2 the manual shift car goes to the mechanic for a complete systems check and to have all the fluids and maintenance services done. After that my new top should be in at the upholstery shop so the car will go there for the install. next week I get my rims back and a set of new tires will go on to complete the mechanical side of things.
I have a carpet set on the way and then I will tackle the cosmetic restorations. I need to source out a complete Bose stereo system and repair the malfunctioning climate controls.
I also am researching a problem with the digital dash. All the led displays work fine but the oil pressure/temp display and the range trip odometer display is dimmer than the rest. I'm not sure if this is a bulb problem, LED problem or a problem with the auto dimming system.
