New Okie
Just bought a 2000 C5 with 6 SPD manual; 104,000 miles. It's had a very rough life, but is getting the love it deserves now. My other cars are a 2009 Pontiac Solstice ZOK, 2005 Mazda RX8, 2005 Jeep Wrangler, 2013 Chevrolet Spark.
I've wanted a Corvette since way back when playing Gran Turismo 1 on my Playstation in 1997. I fell in love with the Grand Sport and it's still to this day one of my all time favorites. My first ride in a vette was a 1995 that my dad was helping fix for a friend. We flew down to Houston from OKC and drove it all the way up. It was magical!
My new vette needs a lot of TLC, starting with paint and trim. Engine and drivetrain all seem to be in great working order. It does have the squeaky AC belt, which I've been reading about. I washed, waxed, armoralled the car and shampood the carpets last night. It's a happy car now.
