Default Hello from Central AR! 1984 Corvette

Hello everyone! My name is Matt, I'm not new to forums, and I've had my c4 since 2006, lurked around here quite a bit, so I decided to finally make an account.

My Corvette: Red int/ext, cease-fire 350, not too many mods but lots of TLC

-Polyurethane bushings front and back
-Magnaflow exhaust
-KN air filter
-Smooth passenger dash
-New steering rack
-700r4 overhauled ($1200! ouch!!)
-Kenwood flip-out DVD player with Treo Speakers, amp, and 12" subs
-Aftermarket rear toe rod kit
-1985 corvette fuel pump
-1998 Camaro rims

One day I'll gut her to bits and make her even more of a crazy fun toy. I've been reading up on different LS swaps and that is essentially where I want to transplant into her. Preferably a DoD type engine to get excellent gas mileage but have plenty of power on tap. For now the tired Crossfire 350 is holding together just fine, and I still have many miles to go with the transmission. Not to mention with an engine upgrade, comes a drivetrain upgrade, so the rear differential needs to be more stout, yada yada yada...

This Corvette was my first car. She has been mine since I was 14! Before the economy took a dump we made the mistake of taking this vette in on trade for an airplane engine we had laying around. More or less she has always been a running project. We always make the joke she is like a European fighter jet. Drive for 3 hours, wrench for 9 hours. However, she is the only vehicle I refuse to part with. I buy/fix/sell cars and bikes all the time, but the Corvette has always been my baby.

Anyway, here are a few pics!

Hi, welcome. I just re-joined the active forum myself. Don't apologise for the Cross-Fire, if you can make it run you are showing real skill and dedication. I had mine for many years and got good at porting, using archaic vacuum gauges, adjusting linkages, replacing blown head gaskets and fixing transmissions. I looked at it as a helicopter: fly for an hour then wrench for 10 hours but maybe it was like a Euro-fighter too (I'm still an F-4 fan).

Welcome and I got my '72 when I was 15, and was given the in 2007. I assume you are 23/24. I too am a pilot, and I used to live in Hawaii so I know a lot of Filipinos myself. What do you fly?
