Default Berlin calling...

Greetings from Berlin, Germany!

For 3 month now, I am the more-than-happy and prowd owner of a 63 SWC (Daytona Blue, numbers-matching) - a real beauty! I am looking forward to be part of this community and gain insight about this wonderful piece of American automobile history... ;-) Some minor things have to fixed, but I am looking forward to have this finished in a few days... :-)

Congrats brother!! And wow do I ever miss Berlin!! I was stationed in Berlin from 1990-1994 and it was hands-down, the absolute BEST assignment I've ever had.

Love the city and everything about Berlin.

I lived at Mcnair Barracks and then on UhlandStrasse. (Between Blissestrasse and FehrbelinerStr).

I hope I can come back one day!! Congrats on your "New to You" Vette

Willkommen bei uns. Wie ich jung war, hat unser Arzt Hausbesuche in seinem Splitwindow gemacht. Seit dem ist das mein lieblings Auto.
Ich bin ein Berliner (JFK).

Berlin has changed a lot since then. Billions and billions of Euros have been pumped into the city - new buildings everywhere. I am sure, you would not recognize the city today... :-) If cou have the chance to visit Berlin again, jut let me know and I will show you around.

The last time I was stationed in Germany (2008) I took a trip back to Berlin and yes, you are correct. The city has changed dramatically. East Berlin is phenominal now while "West" Berlin gets bigger and bigger. A beautiful city with so much to offer. I really wished one day I would be able to visit or live there again. Such a magnificent city.

Will have to take you up on your offer and treat you a Curry mit pommes at the Imbiss right outside the KufurstenDamn U-Bahn (by Ka De We. I always ate there!! When I stopped by at the end of 2008, the woman who owned it was ecstatic to meet a genuine Berlin Brigade Soldier after so many years after Berlin closed down for Soldiers assigned there. I was luck to have spent 4 beautiful years in your city.

@WICKEDFRC

We have a deal: Curry + Pommes for a nice joyride in style through Berlin in the 63 Corvette. Looking forward to this! :-)
