Hello All! My name is Dee and I just retired 7 months go from the United States Marine Corps after 20+ years of honorable and faithful service to this great nation of ours. I'm currently in a position that will allow me to consider getting a C7 Z06. However, I am looking for as much information within this forum and other places about them. I've never really been a fan of getting a new car in the first year a new platform is rolled out so might be waiting for the 16's to come out.
I've never been terribly brand loyal as long as it's American Muscle! I've owned 1 Camaro back in 02, a Roush Mustang in 03, a 2004 Cobra vert in 06, and another back in 2011. Each I've gotten rid of for one reason or another but feel it's time to step my game up as I've always loved corvettes.
I'm familiar with the antics of car forums as I've been a part of them since 2002. I hope to find knowledgeable car people here and not to mention people who share a passion for cars. I look forward to interacting with you all.
Thank you for your service! My cousin was a Marine, but he died in 2007. I have owned most of the generations, and have owned Mustangs and Camaros. I still have some too, but by far the Corvettes are the best. Hope that you get to finally get a Vette.

My sincerest condolences to you in regards to the loss of your cousin and one of my fellow Marines. Thank you for the kind words

Yeah it was pretty sad, he had 3 kids less than 8 years old. He was 27.
He was also a firefighter and pilot, CFI (flight instructor), etc.
My family has served since before the American Civil War. I was a history major in college, and I grew up in an Air Force house. I was born on an AFB, and have grown up around aviation. My grandpa was at Pearl, along with other family members. I currently have another cousin who is an Army Captain overseas. My dad is a retired USAF pilot, and is now a very senior Captain for AAL. I am a private pilot and 23. My sister is 22 and is right behind me. This Thursday, we are taking the AFOQT and have already begun to prepare for OTS. We are joining the USAF to be pilots. Anyways, thought that I would share.
