Longtime Vette fan here and happy to be more than just a lurker here-I apologize in advance for a lengthy ramble...
I've always preferred the C2/C3-era Vettes-those were the ones I grew up with and were the ones I lusted after up through high school. Missing my '69 -GTO from college in the 80s (and the sweet sound of dual exhausts rumbling), I'd always planned to pick up a fun classic to tinker with and drive. For better or worse, life always gets in the way of 'less responsible' pursuits, so that never happened and I assumed it would not and didn't torture myself with the thought.

Fast forward to this past January. I found myself offered an '82 Corvette as part of a guitar trade deal. NO WAY I could pass up the opportunity, so I now finally own a Vette and it's one of my favorite versions as well (a friend and college GF both had 82s that I got to drive a bit) in a finish I love. Been doing a little work on it to get it ready for the road and it's ready to roll.
The lousy part is that we've had a horrible winter here and I haven't been able to drive it anywhere.
