Default Rookie ...

I've been a Forum member for almost 2 years now. But all during that time I've pretty much just read threads on here from time to time everyone else posted. I've never participated in anything. So I guess that makes me still a rookie. And maybe a bit of a ridiculously late bloomer as well. But I've seen a lot of good stuff, benefitted immensely from all the tips and knowledge sharing amongst the members, and learned enough to be dangerous now with my next Vette ... which will be a C5 ... again ...

I was a 2003 black on black Coupe owner for 7 years. But my pristine C5 was destroyed in a multi-car pile up when I was hit from behind at a stop light December 4, 2014. I got out with just scrapes. And as bad as it was, no one was seriously injured in the accident. But I want my perfect C5 back. And I've decided this time it's going to be an immaculate, low mile, 2003 black on black Z06, as much like the one in the pic below as possible ... except maybe for the Body Side Molding. I've never liked BSM on a C5. It disrupts the nice flow of the C5s smooth curves in my opinion.

Stock and modified candidates will be considered. But only a well balanced and smartly modified non-stock candidate will get serious consideration. So if you have an immaculate, low mile, black on black 2003 Z06 you're ready to part with, or maybe know someone who does, please talk to me about it. Thanks in advance ... I'm in Tucson Arizona. But I'll purchase the right candidate from anywhere. I'm looking seriously at a summer driven only candidate in Ontario Canada even as I speak.

If you're one of the many Forum members I've learned so much from reading threads here for the past couple years ... thanks for all you've shared. I've benefitted greatly from all your experience and knowledge ...

Mike

Hello, I am new to this forum as this is my first post. I find a great amount of useful information in this group. I purchased a almost new c7 (certified gm) with 1400 miles on it. Still had the "new car" smell sitting in the show room of my local Southern California Irvine Chevy dealership. "Luky C7" is white with the red calibers black wheels and red leather seats LT1. Luky now has 12,000 miles and she has experienced two full track days and several AutoX events on the run flats. Trying to get my money's worth out of the Michelin run flats and they are very hard to kill off. Will be looking at some sticky tires when ready to replace tires. My previous vette was a black on black c5 Z06 that I sold last year . Poor decision to sell her. Anyway, learning how to really drive Luky like her older brother that I got rid of. I am in Southern California and fortunately have the pleasure of driving Luky all year round and not have to store her during the winter.

Congratulations on your "Lucky" and low mile C7 purchase . I wish you still had your black on black C5 Z06 too. But obviously for selfish reasons. I would have enjoyed checking it out and possibly making you an offer on it.

Enjoy those great Southern California driving days. Year round great weather is a huge advantage. Gets pretty hot out here in the desert much of the time. But if all I need is a cold AC to be able to enjoy the ride in the summer and the rest of the time it's fine, I'll take that over the winter conditions most of the country has to deal with.

Welcome to the Forum ...
