Intro from Miner 49er
Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I have always dreamed of having a project to tinker with in my new shop, old truck, muscle car, etc.
Then totally by accident I was bitten by the Corvette bug. After having cash money in hand to purchase a 77, I got my heart broke when the seller backed out on me at the last minute.
So after licking my wounds for a few days I started searching on the web. At this point I must explain my constant battle with my accountant (wife) on throwing away good money. I don't have a law degree but I think a lawyer would have been proud of my negotiation skills.
To make a long story short, I am the proud owner of a 1978 Corvette coupe. She runs and drives but needs lots of TLC. My plans are to rebuild or replace the motor an trans. new paint and interior along with many other things I find along the way.
On my first test drive down my driveway I discovered (just in time) I had no brakes.
So that is where I shall start.
Wish me luck with my accountant and I look forward to gaining much wisdom from you guys in the future.
Have a blessed day,
Miner 49er
