Howdy all, my name is David and I'm a 33 year old mechanical engineer living and working in Houston TX. After selling an '00 Supersport Camaro years back and changing to my current DD (Subaru)...I decided I needed some oomph back.
I've still got the Suby as it's all mine, (every mile) but I just bought my first Corvette, a 2013 GS, Torch Red w/ the 3LT package. I flew out to a Vermont, bought it from a CF member (Hi Tom!) and drove it back. What a fantastic vehicle...I'm amazed at the power from every place in every gear. It's crazy to me how far superior the Corvette is when I think back in comparing it to the SS Camaro I had.
It's also clear how much GM's manufacturing and quality has improved over the 13 year difference.
I'm really enjoying the car, and have actually come to enjoy washing my car again. I'm not much of a modifier, tend to like them the way they're built at the factory and generally tend to shy away from the $$$ it costs anyway. However since I intend to keep my GS indefinitely, I would be interested to know about some lists of "low dollar high value" tweaks or modifications that may exist on the forum.
