Hello all. Decided to join after spying around for a few weeks. I'll start off by saying, I fell in love with my first Corvette model kit quite a few years ago. I purchased a cheap KB toys diecast car ( some kind of big roundish car I'm not familiar with) and put it together, then wanted something tougher. Purchased to 1969 vette from hobby lobby, some cheap paint and some glue and spent all night and the next day putting it together. I really enjoyed the finished product and had a deep love for the car ever since. Love the sound of any car engine, love the 63 - 82 body designs. Made with a lot of character. I am also interested in driving manual. The corvette would be my first experience all around.
I've also fallen in love with the newest corvette. I had come to the conclusion I want my first car to be a corvette and took some serious steps to make make it happen a few days ago. Took a trip to the local new/used Chevy dealer and decided to have a seat in their newest Vette. I left my jacket on the floor so i wouldn't snag or scratch anything, and awkwardly sat inside. It was comfortable, my size (5'3") and the shifter location was so new to me, yet just resting my hand on it felt very natural. It was a tight fit for my small size and I do believe I could rest my elbow on the window, unlike our current 300.
I want to a Corvette to be my first car because of it's design, it's history and it's workability. Plus, there is only so much you can do to a 300c. I don't want to break a car that doesn't belong to me, so it's time to get my own. Hoping to learn some more here, and will post the full idea of what I'm look for in the C3 forum. Thank you
