New Aussie Corvette owner
The names Jeremy from the land down under, and I just wanted to say G'day to everyone. I've just recently bought a new project (as you'll see from the photos, it's definitely a project) that I'm really excited about. I'm a Commercial pilot by trade, and this is my first vehicle restoration. I've spent many years working in aircraft hangars, but never on vehicles. I'm actually looking forward to this project being a bit easier than working on aircraft, as there will be a hell of a lot less red tape.
The vehicle itself is a 1976 C3, originally silver with a fire thorn red interior. It's seen a few different paint schemes over the years, but as you can see, the previous owner has done a fair bit of work on the body already. It came with most of the options available for that year except for the heated rear window, and manual transmission. I'm thinking of restoring it to a show car contrition without making any major mods.
I'd love to hear from any other Aussie corvette owners, and I'll be putting up heaps of photos and asking heaps of questions on the forum here. It's been a dream of mine to own a corvette, and thankfully my job gives me heaps of stand-by time, so this should keep me busy for a few years.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed on the forum, as I've enjoyed reading through the posts. I've got heaps to learn, so here we go!
Jeremy

Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Those guys in the C3 section are very intelligent and will be happy to answer your questions on your restoration.
Welcome!
G'day Brandons72vette,
Great to hear there are some other pilots here on the forum that also have good taste. How far are you through your training? I work for a company called the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.
That's awesome. I've been flying for 18 years, and am flying B200 King Airs at the moment. Great to hear it runs in the family.
The Lt. Governor of Texas flew in last week in his KA 350. Pretty sweet set up. I was working with a Citation X just a few hours ago. My past week I have worked with a MIG 17, B-25, OH-58's, A4's, KA's, Challengers, Yak-52, J3's, and a G1. There are a lot more, but those are what I thought were cool enough to mention.
I am sure you'll love your Corvette!
