Hello All,
I'm Dan, I don't currently own a corvette but I've come to the forum because I have my eye on one and want to research and learn more about them.
A friend of mine is selling this 74 for $1k
The engine is out of it and it's been sitting for about 10 years. It was a great driver before he blew the engine and parked it. I took those quick photos the other day but plan to look at it in more detail. Thoughts? Tips? I've read the 10 tips and watched the YouTube and found it very helpful...yes I'm a newbie, ha.

Looks like a nice project car.
I depends on what your budget, tastes and desires are. Food for thought....., If you start putting a pencil to what It will take to make it drivable, you might find for the same money, one could find one in drivable condition. Either way all Corvettes are awesome!
I've looked at some other cars and I could get a drive able one for around $7,500-10 but I kinda like the project as long as it's solid enough. My goal for the car would be getting it to a safe, good running state then body work and paint. It'll be a driver for sure but I won't sacrifice needed attention.
Well the parts alone on the car is worth the $1,000 asking price. I would buy it. It is also a 4 speed and it also appears to have a good body. The front bumper is in need of a replacement, it will need a lot of work but it is savable.

Agreed! I'm going to take a closer look next week with some tips I've already read from this forum.
Well, I went to look
At the car today and it started down pouring. I managed to get the VIN and a couple quick pics. From what I've looked into its a 350ci/250hp car.
Inside would need obvious cleaning and replacement of carpet and some other things. What I did notice in the downpour is that the t-tops didn't appear to be leaking also, no really bad smells.
Just a few pics I took, I plan to look at it again when it's nicer.
