Hey guys, been lurking for the month I've had the vette, and then last Thursday I got into an accident cracking the bumper, LH headlight, and hood. luckily no mechanical damage. Either way, best month of driving, haven't looked back at any of my other cars and felt the same. Now I get to get real intimate with it an put it back together my way, hopefully upgrading with the insurance money, and getting a proper paint job(goodbye orange peel).
Welcome and post some pictures when you can! I know first hand what it is like to deal with having to repair a front clip. My wreck occurred over 2 years ago, still am working on fixing my car.
I'll be happy to post some pictures once I have this damage sorted out. It hurts my heart to look at her this way
Maybe this will help you feel not so bad.
My all original '72 with original paint, tags, etc. The spare still has tags from '71.
Then it was wrecked and literally it was gone. But I opted to save the car.
Here it is now, after spending enough money to have paid for another '72 driver or a nice C6. So now I am starting a restoration on it as you can't keep original parts in original condition next to new parts. It makes it look goofy, but I am determined to save the car.
