C6 center console heat
Hello all... I am a new user searching to find a solution to my 2013 C6 427 convertible problems.... I only have 500 miles on it and have really only taken it for short rides until last weekend the wife and I drove about 2 hours.... the heat from the center console was incredible, the drinks in the cup holders almost boiled, the key in the center compartment got so hot that you couldn't hold the metal, the sides of the console were so hot you couldn't touch them with your bare leg... it has been at the dealer ever since and they say "thats how its made... its a race car.... we've only had one other complaint... there is no fix... get used to it". There is no way that this can be normal and there are lots of complaints on the internet.... does anyone have a solution?

It varies from one car to the next. However, it does seem to be worse with manual trannies than with automatics.
In my automatic 012 coupe, it gets warm enough that I don't put any chocolate candy in the console, but that's not bad at all.
Several manufacturers make a tunnel plate to go on the underside of the car, but I have no idea how much that helps.

It's still at the dealer and they don't seem to want to help. They have contacted the regional manager to see what he suggests... I am not too hopeful that they will buck up and take responsibility and provide a fix.
