Howdy folks
I've been enjoying this forum as an observer since acquiring a "new to me" 1996. Lots of good information and impassioned opinions.
My first Corvette was a new 1984 white on red. I've always loved the C4 design. (Except for the years when Chevy stuck the third brake light on top like an unfortunate afterthought.) So now I've owned the first and last C4. Yay!
After 16 years in a Miata, all this newfound power is intoxicating.

Thanks guys. I'm really amazed that this one is so unmolested. It seems the worst treatment she received was from the Chevy dealer who took it on trade. It's as if they'd never seen a 'Vette before.
The kid in the shop had expended what looked like an entire can of spray-on white lube trying to "fix" the wonky headlamp motor.
I ordered the repair kit from Ecklers. Hopefully he didn't wreck the mechanism with his exploratory demolition.
Neither horn works, and I'm loth to replace them with Pep Boys universals. Trying to take one apart to return the stock sound.
Most vexing is that I ordered the factory fob, only to find that the PKE won't engage.
Here are some pix. If you look closely at the new headlamp, you'll see the dealer installed it upside down.
I need to be cleaning up the Miata for sale, but I can't take my eyes off the 'Vette.
Anyway, much to learn and explore.
