Just made the trade from the Harley world to the Corvette world. I want my toys to have air conditioning as I make the rapid climb into middle age and beyond.
I picked up a 1981 with the 4 speed from a "collector of things". It was last registered in 2012 and has been mostly sitting in a shed since then. He had done the basic maintenance, so an oil change and a battery later its sitting in my driveway waiting for me to throw money at it.

Very nice car Mike !! you know, several of my friends already have imported some C3
fm USA and for me, the C3 will stay the most beautiful Corvettte !!
Thanks for the welcomes. This is my first Corvette, and budgets are in the mix. I am not a mechanic, but I can remove and replace (usually) fairly well. I'll do everything I can myself, as a learning experience and a confidence booster. Thankfully it appears to be bone stock, wiring and all.

Thanks. Tomorrow I will change all the fluids and closely check the radiator hoses, belts, etc. Till winter I have about 3 days a month that I have time to play, so its a long term project.
