Default Hello from Illinois

What's up guys? I joined up a year ago when I was looking for a Vette to buy, however, I ended up staying on the dark side of things and got another Mod Motor car. I traded my 2003 GT for the 2011 5.0 that I have now. I don't regret it, however, I do wish I would've went with my gut and got the Vette. I'm honestly debating on scratching the idea of boosting the car and just saving my money and trading it for a Grand Sport this time next year, as I really love those cars.

Little backstory on the car. Bought it bone stock last November 3rd. It's on its 2nd MT82 (kick myself in the *** for not getting a 6R80 car), 2nd clutch setup, and some good races with randoms and good friends. The car surprises me with how well it runs for the mods that are done to it.

It's a 2011 premium car, 3.73's, all that BS. It's a basic bolt on car, but does the job for me right now. It has an AirAid CAI, Boss manifold, O/R X, Bassani axle backs, BMR suspension, tint all around, and Niche Targa's. I have put almost 20k miles on the car since last year and I have loved every minute of it. Except for the month it was broke. Then 3 days later it breaks again. MT82 problems are prevalent in this car. I absolutely love the car, but I still have that Vette fever and I'm really wanting to cure the fever as soon as I can.

Plans for the 5.0, if I end up staying with the car, are simple. On3 kit, return system and keep it below 11psi with the stock motor. Not sure I wanna do it over getting a Vette however, because of how much I drive this thing. It'll be off daily status this summer when I get an XJ. I drive the car to and from school daily which is a 60 mile commute a day, so I get a lot of time behind the wheel of this thing.

Here are some pics of the 5.0, I'll have the flamesuit on for this! Haha.

Thanks all! I'm probably gonna lurk around for the most part, but I figured I'd introduce myself! Looking forward to hopefully getting a Vette and being able to post on here more!

Welcome to the Corvette Forum! I have a blue '70 Mustang, so I get it, but the GS will be the better car by far.
