Hello from Maryland.
After purchasing a 2015 base C7 this spring and viewing the posts on this forum, I was impressed with the wealth of knowledge of its members and decided to enter into the discussions. Being retired from GM Assembly in Baltimore as a maintenance electrician allows plenty of time to tinker with my Vette in the garage. The 2007 Vette was my first and cannot believe the differences in a positive way when compared with the 2015. Thanks for having me and hoping you will all feel the same after my posting the following: Whenever the four cylinders are deactivated via fuel shutoff, are the same cylinders deactivated each time in this mode? Additionally, what changes are in effect in the valving to prevent compression strokes in those cylinders not receiving fuel? Tried to warn you guys when mentioning having this extra time on my hands. Will appreciate views on this. Thank you and Be Well.
