I'm a new member to the forum, and I've been searching for a 1958 Corvette Convertible for the past several months. I'm interested in getting any feedback or lessons learned on what to watch out for in purchasing this type of vehicle. My preferences are convertible, 4-speed, silver exterior/black interior (if possible), and limited modifications. I'm not so concerned with original numbers matching engine as I think I'll want more horsepower than the original engine produces. Any thoughts or ideas?
Be patient and careful. These cars are 60 years old and many have issues. Sellers use misleading terms, there is some fraud and if you dont know what to look for, hire an expert to do an inspection before you buy.
