Hi, I'm new to corvette forum nd new to the corvette owners club. I'm not new to repairing corvettes, I,m a GM mechanic started apprenticing in the late 70's, and stayed with GM for 25 years. At my dealership I was the only one allowed to PDI the new ones and the only one allowed to repair customer vettes. I recently bought 2 corvettes a 1079 and a 1976. 79 is the first project L48 with 4spd standard. So I installed a L31 vortex dammed it, intake, kept the rochester 4bbl (bullet proof), serpentine belt system, dual electric fans, tremec 5spd tranny, etc, etc. I have searched the world over for hood clearance issues and am ready to tell my story for all those that are interested.thanks
