I've been around since last fall, but decided to make a threat - a little about me - 28, work in IT, Georgia - I'm on car # 12, a 2008 Mazda Miata GT that I have on Ohlin DFV coilovers, Autoexe exhaust, Toda cams, RX8 brakes, and daily on stock 17x7 with Michelin AS3's, but do various autox and hpde's on 17x9 RPF1's with BFG SportComp2's. Fun but not without its limits - that being power, and since I have a power retractable hard top, no roll bar.
So here I am, after much deliberation between an E36/E46 M3, an S2000 or another NC Miata ( soft top ). Why may you ask?
Simple. On paper at least, a C5 has everything that I'd like in a car to do various track/car related events, a large aftermarket, and can handle well ( I enjoy spirited mountain runs often. It's how I have driven 80k in the Miata in under 3 years. ).
I test drove an FRC a few months back, and while never had a change to really stretch it's legs, and man do the seats need to go, I enjoyed it for what it was. Have to get used to how notchy a T56 is though for sure.
My wallet is prepared to cry for the brakes, tires, and list of modifications I've already drummed up.
