Hi group, My name is Dave and I'm new to this site however been a car guy all my life. I live in the beautiful Florida Keys and enjoy sun shine and Blue skys. I am semi retired. The semi is just a state of mind. I live my life to the fullest, I am truly blessed. I am a runner and spend time on the water catching lobsters and Stone crabs. I love working on my car and cant wait to drive it again.
I bought my 1st Corvette in 2005 and been working on it pretty much ever since. It is a true passion. It is a Red 1978. I call her my sexy girl with curves. I have been restoring her, however not completely original hence a crate motor and upgraded to 200r 3 speed with overdrive so I don't have to stop at so many gas stations. Been trying to get it painted. but kept running into issues, electrical and so on. Now I have replaced every wire and just about every part on it that can be removed. And I am still having the best time ever. I hope to have it complete with paint by the end of this year 2016.

New Guy with 1978 Red Corvette
Hello Group, My name is Dave, I have not joined before but have checked it out. I felt it was time to share my wealth of info. I live in the Beautiful Florida Keys and am a proud owner of a 78 Red corvette. I have been restoring it it for many years and tons of money. Nothing new there huh. But I wouldn't change a thing. been a car guy all my life. This is my 1st corvette and can say I've learned a lot. Always enjoy playing with her and hope to be complete the fall.
