Crazy guy from Jackson, MI 1976 Stingray
Hey!
Normally, ive been a Pontiac guy. Ive owned upwards of 14 TransAms over my life, including my 79 I have now. While its my "show car" usually, I wanted to build something that I could use as a daily driver in the spring, summer, and fall. So I decided to "upgrade" a bit to a Vette. Being a classics guy, I decided on a C3. Ive always REALLY liked the lines of a C3, so I started looking.
I found the beginning shell, a 1976 (mostly), with what I think is an 82 nose and tail. Since I prefer the later nose and the flat back window, this was perfect for me! Add in the fact that the shell was originally a 4 speed, and I think I have the perfect start.
I bought it as a roller, since then I have stockpiled a large pile of parts including a 358 with an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 750, a T-5 tranny, and a complete parts car that was tragically involved in a head on collision. The interior was in excellent condition, and the majority of the other small items I need (trim, emblems, heater core, moldings, etc) are also present and in good shape. The parts car is a 77.
Planning to start building it in the fall, as soon as I gather a few more odds and ends, hoping to put it on the street by next May. Build thread and lots of questions to follow!

the interior isn't red any more, switched it to light saddle. Don't seem to have any pics with me of the new color though.
