Default New from Ann Arbor

Hello all! I am currently shopping for my first corvette.

Unfortunately a little "analysis paralysis" right now. Z51 vs base, auto vs manual, mag ride or not, etc. biggest dilemma is by a 2016 off the lot or order a 2017? No shortage of opinions on the forum! I do get employee pricing so I don't think a big difference right now. I am checking Les Stanford for my next move. Best in the area?

Looking forward to posting pics of a new car soon!!

Mike

If you are married I recommend the mag ride. I vote Z51 with a manual 7.

I have magnetic ride on my C7 Z51 and my son does not. I actually like his suspension slightly better. I run mine in Sport mode when I am by myself and Touring when my wife rides with me.

That said if I buy another C7 it will have mag ride.

Thanks all for the welcomes! This is going to be fun.

As I right now am looking at Vette's at the dealers, my leading cars right now are both Z51 convertibles,
1- Shark Gray, Mag Ride, Automatic and
2 - Yellow, manual, PDR. (your yellows are very nice!!).
Not going to track the car and I love the convertible. Auto is nice for the wife's occassional drives but I do like the manual. And as for the Z, just because that's what I want!

If I don't get the deal i want (GMS +), I'll order instead. Appreciate all the feedback.

Thanks! I was not a big fan of yellow originally. When I 1st purchased my 2004 my friends called it the yellow banana... but the color grew on me and it help makes the car look more exotic. When I look to get a a C7 Z06 or C7 ZR1 it will be yellow. It grows on you... It also makes the lines on the car pop.

Wife has a paddle shifting BMW... Working to convert her to a manual. She knows how to drive a manual just prefers the auto. I am always going to purchase my vehicles in a manual as they are way more fun IMO.

The convertible in Velocity Yellow looks amazing even when surrounded by Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. A few pics from my recent Adventure Drives and I had the least expensive vehicle and my car totally fit in surrounded by crazy supercars!

I vote you get the manual yellow convertible! I may however by biased.
