Hello all. Just brought home my replacement for my old 65 coupe that was stolen 30 years ago. I've always wanted another so I figured now or never since I retired a year ago.
Well I'm not into stock and this is certainly not. I also have a 72 Porsche 911 highly modified and a classic Mini Cooper, somewhat modified.
I found this corvette in Calif and it has to be one of a kind. It's a 65 roadster. From the outside the only give away is the 427 big block hood and fender flares. If you were sharp you might notice disc brakes front and drum on the rear??? Got ya wondering now. When you pop the hood it will blow you away and the purist's will choke. It has a 392 Hemi with dual Carter AFB 4 barrel carbs, Chrysler 4 speed into a 8.5" Dana post-traction solid rear end (hence the drum brakes).
This old girl has only 47,000 original miles on a 51 year old chassis. My guess is there isn't another like it in the U.S.
